HAMAA is a Hmong Agency staffed from within and serving principally the Hmong Community. The requirement for fluent Hmong-English language capability with the desired addition of Lao and Thai languages drives a recruitment policy solidly centered on our Hmong Community.
Staff: Perform a daily operations are conducted in accordance
with written policy of the Board of Directors and in concert with the contracts
and grant guidelines funding the activity areas. Staff is stabilized, growing
at the rate of two annually (sustainable) and professional in training, experience
and performance. The Employment Program receives the highest grades for performance
in the City System. The Dance Class Team won acclaim again, taking first and
second place in the Hmong American New Year Celebration at the Humphrey Dome
in 2001. The Youth Program points to continually rising school grades of the
young and an outstanding “Earning by Learning” book reading program
that counted hundreds of books read by the students over the summer and fostered
continuing enthusiasm from each young reader going into the new school year.
