HAMAA

Employment

HAMAA serves principally the City of Minneapolis/Hennepin County area, which houses nearly 25,000 Hmong. However, the mission and goals of the organization require that the doors are open to all Hmong, including any from the St. Paul area in particular who are seeking MFIP-related services or work placement assistance and any incoming new residents regardless of final location. Housing

Designed to address the needs of the South East Asian immigrants in becoming homeowners. It is designed to provide participants with homeownership skills, including money management, home financing, loan application, home maintenance. More details

Youth

Is a program for Teens (ages 11-21 years) which works to reduce the truancy and delinquency rate among Hmong youth in Minneapolis while improving employability and career development skills, increasing awareness of societal rules and values. More details

 

After School

An after school program that works to improve Hmong children’s academic performance and to reduce the truancy rate among Hmong youth in Minneapolis, representing the younger children (ages 5-10 years), and offering after-school tutoring, educational and recreational activities, indoor and outdoor games, arts and music and community activities.
